AEF Grant Winners
Recently, the Aledo Education Foundation awarded their annual grants to various teachers.  Coder’s lucky recipients  are Jennifer Kirkpatrick and Kelly Neff for “Calm Cats”.  This is a technology program designed to help calm children when they are anxious, afraid or just need some quiet time.  1st grade teacher, Ashley Davis and 2nd grade teacher, Meagann Commons, partnered for “I Scream, You Scream, We All Scream for more STEAM!”  This grant will allow them to purchase more  supplies for their Science and Math STEM bins.  Sally Joslin, Lauren Christenson, Sherry Brown, Lori Hobbs, Erica Roe, Barrett Bridges Walker, Marion Flinchbaugh, Diane Gillham and Tori Bolding all contributed to the “Tiggly Tools-Tangible Technology for Our Little Cats.”  Tiggly is a program designed for our very young learners using the iPad and various apps so the student experiences interactive learning.  Coder is quite proud of these teachers and appreciate all their hard work in writing and receiving these grants.  Many thanks to AEF for their generosity.
