This year is flying by and it is almost time for Coder Catís Runnersí Club!† Here are some of our most frequently asked questions.

What is Runnerís Club?
Runnersí Club is a group of students, parents and teachers that walk and run twice a week after school in preparation for the annual Fort Worth Cowtown 5K (3.1 miles) Race to be held in the Fort Worth Cultural district on February 24, 2018 (transportation is not provided).

Who can join Runnerís Club?
Anyone can join Runnersí Club.† Students, siblings, parents, friends, and anyone else who is interested can join in on the fun.† The more the merrier.†

When does it start?
Runnersí Club begins Tuesday, January 16th and continues on Tuesdays and Thursdays till race day. We will warm up and stretch in the gym as soon as school lets out, then head out to the playing field ďtrackĒ, where we will run and walk for about 30 minutes (if weather is bad, we will stay inside).† Kids need to be picked up out front at 3:45.† KINDERGARTEN AND FIRST GRADERS MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT.

PLEASE LET YOUR CHILDíS TEACHER KNOW IF THEY ARE STAYING AFTER SCHOOL TO RUN AND HOW THEY WILL BE GOING HOME.

What if I want to run/walk the Cowtown, but canít participate after school?
You can join Runnersí Club (register for the Cowtown) even if you canít make it to the after school training sessions.† You are more than welcome to train at home!† Everyone who signs up with the Coder team will receive a 2018 Cowtown T-shirt and an awesome orange Aledo Runnerís Club T-shirt to wear on race day.† We will take over Forth Worth with a sea of orange!

How do I sign up?
Itís easy to sign up!† Just fill out the attached entry form and send it to school with the required entry fee.† Each person registering needs their own SIGNED form.† Please make copies or go to the Coder website for extras.† All forms are due by Tuesday, December 12th to be part of the Coder team.††

What happens after the race?
All students who participated in Runnersí Club will be recognized at an awards assembly in March.† We will also celebrate all runners who cross the finish line at the Cowtown and honor the top runners!
